They had a great time trick or treating and came back full of candy! It was funny, when they came home from trick or treating we dumped their candy in a pile so I could go through it. Tommy picked up his bucket, dumped it upside down and started crying! Poor baby thought he lost all his treats! He was fine when his suckers got put back in his bucket!

Broken Leg ~ Day 2

Our first night with a broken leg was horrible! Tommy couldn't sleep, so when Keith got home at 11pm, I in my pajamas left to go to WalMart and get some Motrin and ended up getting pulled over!! For what...not signaling my turn!!! Don't worry though, I didn't get a ticket, the officer told me to use my turn signals! After we got some motrin in, he fell asleep and slept all night!

This morning Tommy figured out how to crawl with his cast. And this afternoon he was trying to stand up!
Almost got it....

And he did it! He can only stand for a second then falls down, it's like he is learning how to walk all over again. He gets a big smile on his face when he stands up!
I went to Mervyn's earlier today to get Tommy some pants and pajamas that I could cut to make them fit over his cast. This is Tommy tonight right before bed with his foot jammies on!
Overall he is doing much better and we only had to take Motrin one time today! He was able to get comfortable enough to take a two hour nap and go right to sleep at bedtime!!

Pumpkin Patch and a Cast!!

Thursday night I took the boys to the pumpkin patch, they had a blast!!

We looked at and bought pumpkins, went on pony ridesand rode the other rides they had there! The big slide was a lot of fun! Except....Tommy broke his leg!!!

As best as I can figure, his foot got caught under him as he was going down the slide. About halfway down the slide he started crying, I figured it was just because he got scared. I picked him up and carried him the rest of the night, not knowing anything was wrong, figuring he was tired and scared. When we got home and I put him down he fell to the ground unable to put any weight on it. I took him to QuickCare where they did a pelvic xray and told me he twisted his leg and would be fine in the morning. He woke up Friday morning still unable to stand or even have his leg touched. I got him in with the orthopedic surgeon this afternoon and Tommy's right tibia has a spiral break! They casted him up to his thigh!

He was such a trooper! And a totally different much happier little boy since the cast has been on!

David is super excited about his brother's cast! And couldn't wait to sign it tonight!!

Mines!

David's class went to the mines in Nelson yesterday for a field trip. The kids had a great time! Keith got to go with them. Here are some of the pictures from it!!

Cooking Class

For my ward's enrichment night last night we had a recipe exchange, with the theme being South American/Latin food. Me being the ...master chef (ha ha!!) that I am immediately called Steve and Lidia for help! Lucky me, they came in town last weekend and were nice enough to come over Monday afternoon and learn me how to make ham and cheese empanadas!! They were a great hit at enrichment night, everyone loved them!! Thanks guys!! These are the ones I made by myself Tuesday night! They turned out great, the ends weren't twisted as good as Lidia's though!

After getting upset yesterday because Mom and Erin's dirt is both sprouting, I woke up this morning and look what I got!!!

...KETCHUP!!! I gave T his dinner the other day and he refused it, until I gave him some dip. Notice that he is dipping with a different finger in each picture! I don't think he ate anything other than ketchup for dinner that night!
