It is hard to believe that two years ago we lost Gabe. There are some days it seems like just yesterday and other days that it seems like forever ago. I still have times that I break down and allow myself to feel the emotions from the experience. But, I think that is good. It helps me. Sitting here today, I am a little emotional, and am ok with that. Today I am thankful for the experience we had. I am thankful that I had a super doctor that validated my concerns that weekend, that knew what I needed and came to the hospital emergency room at midnight to be with me. Thankful that he knew the perinatologist that I needed and that she to came to the emergency room that night. Thankful that Spring Valley didn't have what they needed to put me into labor and I had to go to Southern Hills the next day where it was more quiet and peaceful and I wouldn't have to be surrounded by so many mothers and newborn babies. Thankful for my mom who encouraged me to hold Gabe, knowing how hard it would be for me to do but knowing that if I didn't I would regret it. Thankful for my visiting teacher who had a very similar situation and knew what I needed. Thankful for the closeness that it brought to mine and Keith's relationship. It was so cute. The other night I was laying in bed listening through the baby monitor to David and Tommy talking. David was telling Tommy to be quiet so he could hear his movie. Tommy kept burbling and laughing. David said to Tommy, "you have to listen to me cause I am your big brother and I get to boss you around. Did you know that you have two big brothers, but I am the only one that you have to listen to cause your other big brother is Gabe and he doesn't live with us. He lives in Heaven with Heavenly Father. But when you die you will have to listen to him cause then he'll be your big brother too." It was very cute, very simple. I am grateful that we were able to have Gabe and for all of the lessons that his birth and death taught us. Grateful.

Lego Land

This weekend we went to Lego Land. David had NO clue! We picked him up from school and got on the freeway. We told him that we were going to California for a training class for Keith, so he wouldn't be suspicious! He was fine with going since our hotel was going to have a pool!! So easy to please. We got to San Diego late Friday night, got to the hotel and went to bed. Luckily Lego Land opened at 10, so we slept in a little, went to IHOP for breakfast and then to Lego Land. After we left IHOP, David turned on Star Wars in the car so he didn't realize that we were even at Lego Land until we got out in the parking lot! He was SO EXCITED!! This is David holding his Lego Land pass!
It was Star Wars Weekend at Lego Land, so there were Star Wars guys everywhere!! I don't know who they all are or what their names are, but David is able to let you know!
They had play areas all over the place! This one was for little kids, like Tommy that had the bigger legos to play with. Friday after Lego Land we stopped at Golden Spoon, got some frozen yogurt and then stopped at the beach to play.
Me and Tommy on the Fairy Tale ride. It reminded me of Small World, but with different fairy tales made out of legos to look at.

David and Darth Maul
David and Darth Vader!
This is a lego death star. David REALLY wanted to buy this. It is only $399!!
He said he would settle for this, the Millinium Falcon. It is only $499!!
Keith and Tommy at the beach. Tommy still doesn't like the sand or ocean water!

One of the highlights of Lego Land is this HUGE water park in the middle. It has a huge bucket of water that dumps on you, water slides and fun stuff! David loved it!!
Tommy napping!

This is a bionicle ride, it is like a claw that throws you around. This is David and Keith on it.
Use the Force!

Tommy and Thomas the Train
The boys and all the troopers
Pirate boat ride that you squirt people walking by and eachother on as well as the people at the water park area.
Tommy wasn't a big fan of the water play area! This is the bucket that drops on you and part of the water area.We had a great time at lego land!!

Lost Baby!!

This morning, I was getting ready for the day. David was sitting on the couch playing his DS and Tommy was playing toys in the living room. I came out from my room to check on the boys and remind David to get dressed for school before I started to curl my hair. I found David right where I left him on the couch, still fully engrossed in his Lego StarWars video game but couldn't find Tommy anywhere! So David and I started the search...
I found Tommy's "ipod" he was playing with by the dog door in the kitchen!
And this is where I found Tommy! He had left his toy at the door, crawled through the dog door and was playing out back!

OREOS

I hate buying oreos. David only eats the filling out of the middle and throws away the cookie part. It just seems like a huge waste of money to buy them.
But today, we found the solution to that problem!!!!!!!!!!!
Tommy loves the cookie part! That is what I call team work!

David's Talk

David is giving the talk in primary tomorrow. The subject is I can pray to Heavenly Father. Here's his talk....
Let me tell you a story about two children. A boy who was 6 and a girl who was 7. They went for a ride one hot summer day with their dad in their grandpa’s old jeep. The drove for an hour and a half and the jeep started making funny noises then stopped working when they got to a gas station in the next town. The gas station worker said he could fix it and told the dad to walk across town to the parts store. Once they got to the store the kids found lots of things to look at and they didn’t see their dad go into the back with the manager. All they know was that they couldn’t see him. They looked outside and saw a man down the street who was wearing a hat like their dad’s. He was just turning a corner so they ran after him calling dad, dad. By the time they figured out it wasn’t their dad they were lost. They couldn’t find the store, they didn’t know where they were and they didn’t know anyone in the town. The girl wanted to go one way and the boy thought they should go a different way. How could they find their dad or at least the jeep? The girl said they should pray. The boy was scared about praying in public, but after they prayed they both started walking the same way. They found the gas station got in the back of the jeep and waited. After a little while their father came. He had also been praying that he would find them.
There are many stories of answers to prayers, Nephi was told how to build a ship and where to find food. Daniel prayed for protection from the lions, and Joseph Smith prayed to know what church he should join.
I know that I can pray to Heavenly Father for answers in my life.
I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
