Holy cow! I am a slacker!! I was going through pictures tonight and realized that I hadn't blogged David's birthday!
David turned 12 on Saturday June 8. I can not believe he is 12 already!! He wanted to have a paintball party this year, but at $55/kid and him wanting to invite baseball friends, football friends, and school friends there was no way, so he decided he wanted to go to Disney for the weekend. So the boys & I headed to Disneyland after the last few hours of school Wednesday. Nathan is finally 40 inches so he was able to go on Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Star Tours, Soarin' Over California, Radiator Springs, Tower of Terror and all the other fun big kid rides.
(it was Tommy's idea to stand in front of the pink door!) We were the only ones on Splash Mountain, I love this picture of terrified Thomas and I don't know what to think Nathan! The picture on the top right is after the big drop.

When we got home we went to dinner at Applebees with grandpa, who came down from Colorado. I wish I would've gotten a picture, they sang to David and he was SO embarrassed! Sunday morning David received his Faith in God award at church and was able to be ordained a deacon in the priesthood. After church we had some family over for some food & visiting. Sunday evening we did David's birthday, he had an ice cream cake and got to open his presents. He got a few hats, money and a cell phone! He is SO excited about his phone!! (if you want/need his phone number, let me know!)
On Wednesday the kids got to spend the night at Grandma & Papa's house for the week! They had a BLAST! From what I hear there were sleep overs & slumber parties almost nightly with cousins, late night swimming, and lots of fun! So much fun that when we went to pick them up Sunday Thomas started crying because he didn't want to leave Grandma's house! We had the opportunity to go to Reno that week for the CPOF (correctional peace officers foundation) annual memorial services for officer's that in the previous year lost their lives, and/or were injured in the line of duty. There was an officer from High Desert that died last year, his family was not able to go to the services in Reno so we went in their place and were able to accept his plaque, flags, & other items that were given to the family members. It was such a neat experience and I am so grateful that we were able to go.

The last little bit of news...both of Nathan's tubes are out & his ears look great, so we have officially been discharged from our ENT. Which is great but also sad. We have seen this doctor (and probably sent him on several vacations & bought him a nice boat!) every three months since David was a baby, about 4 months old for his first set of tubes. He has done all the boys tubes, tonsils, adenoids and my tonsils.
So after that visit I took Nathan to Thrifty for ice cream :) He loves ice cream!! (wonder where he got that from?!)
This kid cracks me up!! He & I were sitting at the table eating our ice creams and he looks up at me, rubs his belly and says "this is delicious!" That's what he is saying in the video in case you can't understand it.
That is pretty much all that I've missed the last two weeks. I started my classes, I have 2 A's and 1 B so far, two of those classes end the last week of June, and I have one more class that starts in July before the fall semester starts. Next week the little boys start their first session of swim lessons, we are going to San Diego to go to Sea World, the beach & Magic Mountain. Then it's 4th of July, looking forward to the parade and fireworks, and David leaves for scout camp, and baseball camp.
