5

Thomas turned 5 yesterday!!  I can't believe that my little, scrawny, early baby is so old already!!  It seems like just yesterday my doctor was telling me to go to the hospital & he was going to take Tommy emergency c-section.  That should've been my first clue that life with Thomas would never be dull!!

We have been through so much with this silly little boy, some good & some scary.  He is such a good brother & loves to play with them and his friends. Tommy's favorite color is blue, he loves tow trucks and digging in the dirt. Depending on the day he is looking forward to going to kindergarten. He is very opinionated and knows exactly what he wants!

I LOVE these two pictures of him!  He looks so full of trouble in this one! So typical of him!

But he can be a real sweet, kind & loving little boy, when he wants to be.  He loves to go to the neighbor's house and pick flowers for me!

For his birthday this year he decided that he wanted to go to Cars Land at California Adventures. So, we went!  We spent his entire birthday in Cars Land, with the exception of a quick trip to the ferris wheel, toy story mania & buzz lightyear rides!  He went on his new favorite ride, Radiator Springs Racers 6 times!!
He didn't want me to take his picture with his birthday pin on!

He was thrilled to be able to go on a few rides by himself & spend lots of time with Lightning & Mater
Before we left for California, he got to open presents from his grandmas which he LOVES!  When we got home he got to open his presents from us & have his cupcakes and ice cream of choice (funfetti cupcakes with blue frosting & green sprinkles with green ice cream that has black in it)  He only wanted two blue candles on his cupcake and did not want anyone to sing to him!  He just wanted me to count to 3 then he'd blow the candles out, Thomas said he was "to shy" to have us sing to him!!

This is Nathan singing Happy Birthday to Thomas (and trying to blow out his candles)

summer fun

We have had the entire month of July off from baseball so we have had to come up with other ways to stay busy these last couple weeks.
We laid on the trampoline watching the storm clouds roll in
& made chocolate chip cookies once it started raining

Thomas LOVES to dig out back & one day asked David to dig with him.  David told him it wasn't fun to just dig little holes out back, so they came to me asking what they can dig! They are digging a fire pit so we can "light marshmallows on fire"
its really cute, all three boys are out back digging most of the day.  They come in for water and popsicle breaks and to watch tv for a few minutes while they recharge & then head back out. They have made a ton of progress the last few days that they have been working on it!
and of course we have spent lots of time swimming!  Thomas has gotten to be so much braver in the pool this year, still prefers his life jacket on but will take it off to swim in the spa or where he can touch in the pool.  Nathan has turned into a little fish this year!  He prefers his life jacket off to swim and has really gotten good at swimming!  He is SO much braver than he needs to be!

We went to Chuck E Cheese to have a little early birthday dinner for Thomas!  Can you believe he is almost 5!!

fun & buys two weeks

What a fun/busy/crazy couple weeks we've had!!  We started our fun by going to Disneyland with Grandma, Papa, Erin, Cade, Carter, Cami, Cass, Lidia, Abby & Jake

they LOVE eachother & are best friends!

We had a fun couple days at Disney & had to hurry home instead of going to the beach :( so that David could get home in time for his All-Star baseball season.
Following in Henderson Little League All Star tradition, David bleached his hair!  It was a chore to do since his hair is so dark, but after a few trips to the beauty supply store we got it a nice bleach blonde color!  It actually turned out lighter than this picture by the time I was done with it!!

David being "announced" they had announcers & announced the lineup at e

which means.... NO MORE BASEBALL FOR A MONTH!!!!  What?!?!? I know, what am I going to do!! Since All-Stars is done, & his club ball team is taking July off (thank goodness cause it is way to hot to play baseball right now!!) we have nothing for the whole month! I'm super excited if you haven't noticed!  But once August comes he will be back in full swing, with both club ball & fall ball league.
Fourth of July we spent at Grandma & Papa's house.  We had so much fun with our cousins!  It started raining!!  So we played out front in the rain for a little bit, and then got to swim in the rain.  Luckily it cleared up and we were able to do fireworks.  The kids loved them!

Then because we didn't have enough fun the week before, we went to Disneyland again!  This time just with our family.  And still had a great time! The kids favorite thing was Cars Land.  Between our fastpasses & baby swap passes the boys were able to go on the Radiator Springs Racer ride 4 times!  Not to bad considering the standby line was over 3 hours long!!

We had early admission to each park, so the first day we went in an hour early to California Adventures & the next day we went into Disneyland an hour early.  At Disney we split up, Keith & David went and did the "big kid" rides and I took the little boys to do fun stuff for them.  David & Keith were able to ride Space Mountain a couple times without getting off & walked on to the other bigger rides.  The little boys & I walked on to everything too, we were the only people in the Nemo submarine. And we got to walk on to Peter Pan and rode Dumbo twice without getting off!! YAY!

We had a fun couple weeks but are looking forward to a few weeks being at home with nothing to do before we start doing a few more trips before school starts!
