boys again

Let's just say I don't remember when the last time the boys got their hair cut last!
If you look at the t-ball post, you can see how long Tommy's hair was & see Nathan's long blonde hair under the batting helmet, and David's hair was at least 3 inches long (standing straight up as only D's hair does)  No joke!
Here is Nathan wearing his trim/hair cut & showing off his hand, silly Nay-Nay
We gave Tommy a whole new look!!  He got cut really short and got spikes!!  He really likes his spikes, his only complaint is that he can't scratch his head cause it hurts his hand!
The little boys modeling their new dos :)
After we picked David up from school we took him to get his desperately needed hair cut.
This is Tommy after his bath tonight with no spikes, which I love just as much!!  So glad we have Tashia to do the boys hair!

T-Ball

We spent Monday getting Tommy ready for t-ball.  We had a t-ball bat we got from Papa, and bought a batting helmet, batting gloves, a fielding glove, ball and gear bag (haven't found cleats small enough yet!)  Tommy was so excited and spent a good hour packing and unpacking his bag!
(Nathan was happy to try on his helmet)

Tommy is on the Cardinals t-ball team this season.  Tonight was their first practice.  Not to sure how good the team will be this year, but it will certainly be entertaining.  I was SO impressed with Tommy, in the beginning of practice he was in the dugout unpacking his gear, his coach asked him what his name was & he just looked at her BUT by the end of practice he was talking & having a full conversation with her!
T did pretty good playing tonight, he had a lot of fun playing baseball & is looking forward to his next practice!

injuries & illness

I had these great visions of February...we would be home on weekends with only baseball practices that had to be attended to, I would be able to catch up on laundry & projects around the house and backyard...my dreamworld didn't make it to real life!
Since we have been back from the St. George tournament the kids have been sick for what seems like non-stop!  Nathan has had a few nasty ear infections & strep really bad (currently does & is on meds) luckily we see Dr. Manthei (ENT) tomorrow and will see if he needs another set of tubes put in (I think he does). Tommy is stubborn!!!  He has strep also, but refuses to take medication, you can't disguise it in food/drink he won't eat/drink and if you force it in him, he makes himself throw up...so he has a few appointments this week with the pediatrician to get his antibiotic shots. We will find out tomorrow at the ENT appointment if we can get his tonsils out too, I think it is Tommy that is starting the germs & getting everyone else sick. T is the only one of my kids that ONLY got tubes from the ENT, surprisingly with all his medical drama! David also has strep, he is on antibiotics. I am the worst out of the group & didn't get up off the couch yesterday except to get more meds at the pharmacy & ended up getting thrown up on by Nathan!! Luckily our pediatrician loves us (she's got to, we give her so much business!!) & gives me prescriptions anytime I need them too. Friday Tommy was pushing the trike outback, running and looking behind him, and lost his balance and fell face first on the concrete!  Luckily he didn't need stitches/glue.  We were told we could steri-strip it, but with it being that close to the hairline it would pull his hair or we'd need to buzz him.... I opted to just leave it.  He likes to have "long hair" & his hair covers the injury, so it's good!
