Video Games

Tommy absolutely idolizes David. He loves to do EVERYTHING that David does, has to have everything D has. I went into the living room and this is what I found! David and Tommy laying on the floor in the same position, each with a controller (only David's in plugged in), playing PlayStation!

Gabe Allen McKeehan
Three years ago we lost baby Gabe. What a life changing experience for our family! Feelings of loss, sorrow, concern and yes, gratitude filled our hearts. How greatful I am that we had family that was able to help and be with us, both taking care of David and staying with me at the hospital while Keith was running back and forth. Greatful for the strength and comfort of the Spirit through prayer and priesthood blessings. Greatful for parents and church leaders who came to be with us and knew just what to say and what we needed. Greatful for my doctor and the perinatologist that he called in who convinced me to be induced and deliver instead of doing a d&c.
Every year this day is hard and emotional time for me. There are days that it seems like we lost Gabe so long ago, and there are other days that it seems like it was just yesterday. It has been especially hard this year, being pregnant and being about as far along as I am now as I was when we lost Gabe. But it helps knowing that we will be able to be with Gabe again, and that he is still a member of our family. David still talks about him. The love and support of our family and friends is such a great crutch to lean on on the hard days.

Every Sept. 17th, my mom sends me flowers, one red flower for each member of the family (4), and one white one for Gabe. This year she had a blue flower put in it for baby Nate.
Thanks Mom!!

OLD!!

You know you are old when you are excited about household appliances!! But, I am super excited about our new dishwasher! We have been without one for about a month, that was the longest month! We ate out so much so I wouldn't have to wash all the dishes it took to cook! But, we got a great deal/sale price on one last weekend, and got to pick it up Tuesday and Keith installed it last night! YEAH!!! I have already done 3 loads of dishes and love it!! It is a push-button dishwasher, but has a childlock on it, as of now... Tommy hasn't figured it out!

Million Dollar Baby... Broke Again!

That's right! Tommy is back in a cast!! This time it is his left leg in the cast. He broke his foot Tuesday night at Grandma's house when he fell down the stairs!
If you look at this x-ray, on the bone above the heel, you can see a little piece sticking straight up, that is where his break is.
We took him in to the orthopaedic surgeon this morning and they put him in a cast for 4 weeks. He sat and took it all like a trooper!
Tommy got a black cast this time, he has a wedding to be at/in on the 19th, so we had to color coordinate with that! Don't worry though, we stopped on the way home to get a silver sharpie so that we can still sign his cast! So, I now carry the pen in my diaper bag, so if you want to sign it... let me know!!

Here is Tommy with his final product!

He is allowed to walk on his cast, so we got him this cute little cast shoe so that it isn't slippery for him... we don't need him falling and breaking something else!!

Poor baby! Wore out after such a hard morning!!

Tommy is doing really well right now, he is taking some motrin and tylenol for the pain, I think his cast is getting heavy on him. But he is getting used to it being on, and has started walking on it. Once he gets his balance figured out I know he will be running on it in no time!

Busy Busy Weekend!

This weekend we took a quick trip to Disneyland, and had a blast! David's favorite ride was Screamin' he went on it 7 times in a row!! Tommy's favorite ride was the tram, as we were on it he was screaming "weeeeeeeeee, its fun!" the whole time! Here are some pictures...
It was SO funny! This is at the viewing area at the river raft ride in CA Adventures, right were David is sitting (white shirt) you get drenched from the rafts going down the waterfall... Tommy was standing there and got soaked, the wave went right over his head and drenched him, he started to cry till he looked over at me and I was laughing so he started to laugh too!

Tommy in his super cute 3D glasses getting ready to go on Toy Story!

David driving at the bumper cars, I mean autopia!

Tommy driving Keith around autopia

Tommy and David with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Tommy LOVED the characters from a distance, notice his terrified/crying look!! He hated being so close to them!

AND...

Keith got promoted to Sergeant!! He will be at High Desert State Prison, which is maximum security, it is just up the road from where he is now in Indian Springs. He is pretty nervous about going to HDSP, but we are hoping for the best and are taking the advice of his sgts and lts now.

FINALLY...

I had my 20 week ultrasound appointment yesterday, and everything looks good! Nathan is definetly still a boy, he was very proud to show us what he's got! He is measuring perfectly right on for as far along as I am!!
