Birthday Boy!

Tommy is 2!! (on the 30th... I'm a little early!) I can not believe he is so old already! It seems like just yesterday he was born and was my scrawny little chicken leg baby.

We love Tommy so much and are so grateful he is part of our family!
Happy Birthday Two Year Old!!

Exciting Day!!

We have had such an exciting day today and it is only 9am!! Our excitement started when David at 6am, started yelling for me to come into his room cause it was an "emergency", thinking the worse I ran out of bed into the boys room only to have David standing at the fish tank because last night one of our fish had babies!!
(this is a picture of one of the baby fish)
Since it was early still, I laid back in bed with Tommy. David went to get cereal and watch cartoons. Just as I started to fall asleep again David came running in my room screaming. He finished off the box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and as he was pouring his cereal a CashCard fell into his bowl! He was SO excited, disappointed that it is only $5 but still excited!

Baby Update

We went today to do our end of 1st trimester ultrasound! Everything looks good. The babys heartbeat was 169.
This is a profile view of the baby
It is still early, since I am only 12 weeks, but we peeked between the legs.... and so far it looks like a boy, but it is still really early to be sure! I am still crossing my fingers that it is a girl! We go on August 3rd for a 3D ultrasound and gender check. So hopefully, whatever that is between the legs falls off by then!!
Then just another profile shot! We got some cute pictures of the babys hands and feet too.

David's talk

Even children can help strengthen a family, do you know how? Elder Robert D. Hales explained, “The key to strengthening our families is having the Spirit of the Lord come into our homes.” When you pray, study the scriptures, speak kindly, and remember to give thanks, you are strengthening your family! Doing these things invites the Holy Ghost.

The opposite of having the Spirit in our homes is having contention, or anger. When Jesus visited the Nephites, He taught, “He that hath the spirit of contention is not of me, but is of the devil, who is the father of contention, and he stirreth up the hearts of men to contend with anger, one with another.”

Disobedience and arguing drive the Spirit away. Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin said, “It is the duty of children to obey their parents, to learn, and to help with household chores. They carry the scriptural charge not to contend and quarrel with one another.”

As you follow Church leaders counsel to be obedient and kind, the Spirit will be with you, helping you strengthen your family.

Crank Calls!

I have decided that when I go to the bathroom I need to tie Tommy up somewhere!! This afternoon, while in the bathroom, Tommy pushed the kitchen chair up to the counter and grabbed my cell phone. He crank called a bunch of people, including leaving 2 voicemessages and sending out a text! When I came back into the living room I couldn't find him anywhere, inside or outside. As I was calling him he popped up from between the couch and lovesac where he was hiding with my phone! He's lucky he is so cute!!
